FOOTMOON - The Film

We are just a few days away from the release of FOOTMOON, an original film about the world of street rollerblading featuring the current world champion, Julien Cudot.

We are very excited to be a partner of the film for many reasons.

Sometimes, there are encounters that generate an energy that captures your attention. When I started talking to Vincent Romain, the conductor of FootMoon, I felt that we could talk for hours and hours… Yes, he is an engineer like me, also a skater, passionate, and, yes, he also has a life adventure with Latin America, but there was more. So, I decided to explore that more deeply!

Through our discussions, and of course, the incredible story of Julien Cudot, the main protagonist of the film, many subjects were brought up, and I would like to share them with you in this article!

I believe that what drives us in life is the passion that places us in a parallel world during the practice, and when it is shared, pleasure reaches its full potential. Who hasn’t felt like they were flying while skating?

Speaking of flying, with Julien Cudot, we’re talking about high-flying. Sometimes, we might think it’s madness for ordinary people who only put one foot in front of the other, but others like Julien want to explore and experiment with the challenges of gravity, balance… does he feel normal?

Balance is important, not only in the activity but also in life in general. Sometimes, it’s easy to stray off the path, fall into certain addictions. Often, the important thing is to realize and get back on the right track, making that detour more than a past experience that helps us to continue, evolve, grow. Often, family plays an important role in maintaining course, providing stability, or sometimes not, and one must navigate through adversity.

Madness is a fascinating subject. Most people find street rollerbladers completely crazy, but for them, they are normal; it’s just a matter of accepting differences. It would be naive to think that it’s just a matter of jumping from heights for big tricks and seeing what happens; physical preparation is demanding, as is progressing step by step. Often, people are hindered by their fears and end up not trying: Julien did try, fall, try again, and achieved the goal: to be the world champion!

An aspect that seems crucial to me is the integration of the activity into the urban environment, making the city come alive with riders who animate it with technical movements as if they were creating animated street art! Acceptance is an important topic that deserves to be shared widely, regardless of the circumstances.

Inspiration, influences are very strong in the film and drive Julien to surpass himself throughout his career! The relationship between beings is one of the subjects that struck me, our place with the world around us, the connection with nature, and also with animals!

The energy seemed to be a strong value in the film, you will surely enjoy it!

In conclusion, I must talk about admiration because even if some parts of the journey may not be worth copying, they remain life experiences, but the final result is still admirable!
