LUGDUNUM Moovride official partner! Lyon, France!

From May 17 to 19, 2024, the emblematic Place Bellecour hosts the Lugdunum Roller Contest.

Original and exceptional, this event begins with an evening followed by two full days of activities and sporting events intended to introduce and share the passion and practice of roller skating to a wide audience.

In the heart of Lyon, the 20th edition of the Lugdunum Roller Contest returns once again to Place Bellecour! Like every year, there will be something for everyone! The icing on the cake is that this edition will mark the 20th anniversary of the event.

The Lugdunum Roller Contest is an inclusive event, a source of fun, discovery and performance!

The Lugdunum Roller Contest is committed to a social, local and environmentally friendly approach.

It is implemented through concrete actions, carried out by the Lyon Roller Métropole Organizing Committee. Choice of local partners, waste sorting and recycling management, local production, reduction of journeys, optimization of material flows, etc.

The Lugdunum Roller Contest is organized by the Club Lyon Roller Métropole.

Created in 2014, it is the first club in France with nearly 600 members spread over 8 sections, with an extended age pyramid (5-75 years), almost perfect diversity (56% women) and a renewal rate of 50%. Lyon Roller Métropole offers the Roller School for children and adults, and the practice of Roller Derby, Roller Hockey, Freestyle Slalom, marathon and freeride, Artistic. The sections are active both in leisure practice and in competition, including at high level with notable results.

In the program

– events of the Coupe de France Marathon Roller with children’s races, 21 km sports and 42 km marathon,

– the Skate Cross, international event, with 2 qualifying runs and 1 final with 4 riders abreast (guaranteed spectacle!)

– the Leisure Course for strolling with the family for 1 hour, without a timer, just the pleasure of rolling, on rollerblades, skateboards, longboards, scooters and with strollers – the Initiations to rollerblading and skateboarding, Saturday afternoon and all Sunday the day, so that all Lyon residents can discover our sport,

– new for 2024 with the pure height contest on Saturday May 18, – and the Friday evening hike, of course, organized by Générations Roller for the opening of the event!

We welcome you to Place Bellecour, from Saturday morning May 18 and Sunday May 19 all day, in the heart of our village with our partners, roller shops, a refreshment bar...
